There is an overwhelming amount of information available to pet owners, educating them on ways to care for their pet, improve their health, extend their lives, and more. With so much information to consume, how do pet owners know which is safe, coming from reputable sources, and which information they should ignore?
Minnesota Animal Health Foundation (MNAHF), a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has two goals:
1. Support veterinarians and pet owners to ensure all pets live long, happy, and healthy lives.
2. Encourage pet owners to visit their local veterinarians regularly throughout the life of their pets to ensure their health and happiness.
We will achieve these goals by educating pet owners on the best ways to care for their companion animals using veterinarian-recommended and scientifically supported methods and techniques. We will encourage deepening the human/animal bond, promote responsible pet ownership, and increase awareness of the importance of regular veterinary care for all pets.
Individually, veterinary clinics may have limited marketing budgets. Together, we can launch full-scale marketing campaigns that support individual veterinary clinics and pet owners.

MNAHF plans to launch large-scale quarterly marketing campaigns centered around one general theme. During each month of that quarter, we will focus on delivering micro- campaigns centered around specific topics.
For example, the large-scale quarterly campaign may be on the topic of annual examinations. The monthly micro-campaigns may target why annual exams are important, the importance of dental care or vaccinations for pets, and why year-round preventatives are recommended by veterinarians.
Our micro-campaign marketing strategies will include a mix of digital advertising, downloadable content (differing ones for veterinary clinics and pet owners), blog posts, and social media. We will also utilize public relations initiatives, reaching out to local news outlets with press releases and interview opportunities.
As we grow through the support of our donors, we will mix in larger-scale marketing initiatives, including billboards, radio advertising, and event sponsorship targeted to pet owners encouraging them to visit their local veterinarian with questions and to schedule an appointment.
