Celebrate Happy Cat Month with Royal Canin & The MN Animal Health Foundation during the month of September.

What is happy cat month?

Time to celebrate

Cats are amazing. You know it, we know it, and even some dog lovers know it. They bring joy & companionship to our lives, but they also improve our health by reducing stress & anxiety and even lowering our blood pressure. This month is a time to celebrate the wonderful things they do for us and consider returning the favor.

Time to learn

September is a month to learn more about your cat, from their playful behavior to their wellness needs. Stay tuned to our social media channels to learn facts about cats and their health care. Fun fact: cats have less than 500 taste buds, whereas humans have between 5,000-10,000. Not so fun fact: an estimated 60% of cats are overweight. Our feline friends deserve better!

Time to care

Veterinary care, that is. Did you know cats are 6x less likely to see the inside of a veterinary clinic than dogs are? Cats have health & wellness needs that often go overlooked because we consider them so independent. Happy Cat Month is a month to better understand your cat's health, make a veterinary care plan, and get to know your pet's doc.

Listen To Win

Twin Cities radio station 94.5 is feeling the Happy Cat love this month and helping us spread the word. You can listen to KS95 online all month long for a chance to win prizes for you and your feline. Join KS95’s Listener Rewards program and you could win a 3-month supply of Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Calm Formula Dry Cat Food ($290 value), Royal Canin feline treats, or an Owlet Home Pet Camera with a WiFi Treat Dispenser.

Find a veterinarian

Half of all of cats don’t receive regular veterinary care. Don't be in the wrong half! Cats live healthier, happier lives with regular medical care, such as vaccines and other preventive medicine. Yes, even indoor cats. If your cat is experiencing health issues, are you confident you would know? Cats are masters at hiding pain. And if you suspected something wrong, what would you do? Don’t rely on Dr. Google. Talk to your veterinarian to help determine what’s best for your cat’s health.
